SBC Skincare Supports Local NHS

SBC Skincare sees its 30-year anniversary this year, at a time when running any business isn’t plain sailing. The SBC team understood, despite the issues they were facing, those working in hospitals and care homes, along with large numbers of key workers were having a harder time.

With a full operation provided in-house, back in February/March different teams came together to allow the company to quickly switch from manufacturing some of their best-selling products, to developing and producing a new hand sanitiser, utilising existing stock of raw ingredients and bottles. The 100ml Cleanse & Protect Hand Sanitising Gel went on sale in March and sold out within hours. A 300ml version was released later the same month and again sold out quickly. Due to issues and delays in the supply chain, SBC utilised componentry already on-site to produce and launch a 500ml version in April.

300 of these super-sized hand sanitisers are being gifted to staff working within local hospitals this month, June 2020.

In addition to the hand sanitisers, NHS staff have received, or are about to receive skincare products to help make their lives a little more comfortable.

The donation includes bath, shower and hair products, along with body butters and moisturisers. Staff at Ipswich Hospital were delighted with their recent delivery. West Suffolk Hospital will receive their goodies this week, with the Project Wingman initiative receiving their donation at Princess Alexandra Hospital this month too.

Although suffering continuing delays in the supply chain, SBC launched the Hydra-Collagen & Black Pearl collection, in April, as part of their 30 Year Celebration. For the first 30 days on sale, for every 30 products sold, SBC Skincare pledged to donate £30 to a local cause. This week, a payment of £252 was made to the  My WiSH charity at West Suffolk Hospital, along with a further donation of £100 thanks to our blogging partner, Lyn at the Lavender Barn.

Kati Vardon, Marketing Manager for SBC said, “As a relatively small, beauty brand, we at SBC are delighted to be able to help brighten the lives of those working hard within the NHS during the pandemic.”
