Wear it Pink!
Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2019!
This year, SBC Skincare is showing our support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month by hosting a Wear it Pink Day – whilst putting on a very successful bake sale for Breast Cancer Now. We are also donating 10% of all proceeds from the sale of our Collagen Neck & Bust Cream to The Pink Ribbon Foundation – check out the kits here!
Every year, around 58,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer, making it the most common form of cancer in the United Kingdom. One in eight women in the UK will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Most of the factors affecting breast cancer development are still unknown, and any help we can provide to raise awareness and funds for the vital work to help prevent and treat Breast Cancer is something we are delighted to support.
On Friday the 18th October, the SBC Skincare team wore it pink in support of Breast Cancer Now and Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
We also held an impressive bake sale with a delicious array of sweet treats including from flapjacks to sausage rolls and the most delicious cakes, we had it all – staff excelled themselves and created quite an impressive array of goodies.
We raised just shy of £180!!
The team had lots of fun whilst coming together to raise money to support breast cancer research. Breast cancer touches the lives of millions of us in the UK and every year Wear It Pink raises around £2 million during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The money raised is used to fund world-class breast cancer researchers across the UK and Ireland. Together, they’re working to discover how to prevent breast cancer, how to detect it earlier and how to treat it effectively at every stage so we can stop the disease taking lives.
The day was a great success and the whole team at SBC were proud to raise money to give our mothers, sisters, daughters, grandmothers, partners, and friends more time to live.
