My SBC rituals for nourishing ingredients and cosy autumn moments
There’s something about the arrival of autumn that makes me want to slow everything down.
The mornings are darker, the evenings cooler, and before long I’m reaching for my favourite jumper and lighting a candle as soon as I get home. It’s also the time of year when my skin starts asking for a little more attention.
After a summer of sunshine and time outdoors, skin can feel dry, lacklustre or a little unsettled. Add chilly winds and central heating, and suddenly hands feel drier, legs feel tight after a shower and my complexion needs a little extra comfort.
So, rather than completely changing my routine, I’m simply editing it.
This autumn, I’m looking for three things: comforting textures, nourishing ingredients and warm aromatics that turn everyday skincare into a ritual.

1. Start with comforting textures
As the temperature drops, I naturally gravitate towards richer, more enveloping textures.
SBC Oats & Shea Body Butter is a favourite for this time of year, with shea butter and oat extracts helping to nourish skin that feels drier as the seasons change.
When my skin needs a little extra TLC, Propolis Body Butter is another lovely option, while Night Rituals Body Butter combines indulgent texture with a deeply relaxing aromatic experience.
For me, autumn body care is about more than simply moisturising. I want those few minutes to feel like a genuine moment of self-care.

2. Give changing skin a little extra support
Autumn means moving between chilly outdoor temperatures and warm, centrally heated rooms, which can leave skin feeling dry, tight or more sensitive.
That’s why I like to focus on supportive, nourishing ingredients rather than adding lots of extra steps.
Lotus Flower Facial Serum is perfect for when my skin feels more sensitive or reactive, providing lightweight hydration without overwhelming my routine.
After summer, I also like to bring the Vitamin C Serum back into focus. It’s a lovely addition for when my complexion looks uneven or pigmentation is more noticeable, helping skin look brighter and more even.
And, of course, SPF remains an important part of my routine all year round.

3. Make bath time a ritual
If there’s one thing autumn does particularly well, it’s making me want to run a bath.
Coming in from a chilly day and stepping into warm water feels like pressing the reset button.
SBC Night Rituals Soak is perfect for those evenings when I want to properly switch off. With Night Blooming Florals, Fig and Tonka, its warm fragrance makes bath time feel much more intentional.
For colder days, Arnica & Sandalwood Soak offers a wonderfully warm and comforting bathing experience whilst effortlessly easing the daily tensions.
I keep my shower routine intentional with a few simple switch ups. Sea Minerals & Blue Algae Body Wash, infused with Hyaluronic Acid, is my choice when I’m looking for extra hydration, while Vanilla Bean & Fig Body Wash brings a warm, indulgent feel to an everyday shower. When skin needs more care, Propolis Body Wash provides precious hive extracts to support the skin barrier.
We don’t need endless products in the shower, just a small selection that makes body cleansing mindful and creating moments of joy.

4. A fresh start after summer
Autumn feels like a natural time to reassess my skin after the summer months.
Rather than starting from scratch, I’m focusing on what my skin actually needs; hydration, nourishment and ingredients that help support the skin barrier and restore a healthy-looking glow.
That means reaching for Vitamin C Serum when my complexion looks uneven after lots of exposure to sunlight and Lotus Flower Facial Serum when it needs something gentle and soothing. Carefully formulated with Niacinimide and Hyaluronic Acid, this serum helps to care for even the most sensitive and reactive skin.
When I want to ensure a good night’s rest, I apply the lightweight Night Rituals Serum in the evening. The fusion of aromatics and Silk Proteins promote calm whilst nourishing my skin.
It’s these small seasonal adjustments that make my routine feel fresh without making it complicated.

5. Cleanse with comfort
Good skincare starts with cleansing, and as the weather gets colder I’m particularly conscious of choosing something that doesn’t leave my skin feeling stripped or tight.
SBC Hydra-Collagen Replenishing Cleanser is a skincare step rather than simply removing the day. Enriched with nourishing ingredients and essential fatty acids to cleanse without stripping the skin, leaving it feeling soft, comfortable and replenished.

6. Keep a skin S.O.S. nearby
There are always those little areas that need extra attention, dry hands, uncomfortable patches or skin that needs a little more protection from the elements.
That’s where SBC Propolis & Honey Rescue Balm comes in. I think of it as my little skin S.O.S. Its rich balm texture is perfect for smoothing over areas that need extra nourishment, particularly before bed when there’s time to let it work without rushing.
It’s the kind of product I like to keep close because you never know when your skin might need a little extra care and a little goes a long way!

7. More nourishment, please!
SBC Hydra-Collagen Day & Night Cream is a lovely all-rounder for this time of year, helping my skin feel moisturised and cared for without completely overhauling my routine.
Sometimes it’s those small seasonal changes, a richer texture here, a nourishing ingredient there, that make the biggest difference.

8. Don’t forget your hands
If there’s one part of my body that tells me autumn has arrived, it’s my hands.
Cooler weather, frequent hand washing and time outdoors can leave them feeling dry surprisingly quickly, so I like to keep hand cream within easy reach.
My autumn edit includes Arnica Hand Cream, Propolis Hand Cream and Oats & Shea Hand Cream, depending on the texture and level of nourishment my hands need.
My best advice? Don’t wait until your hands feel dry before applying hand cream. Keep one beside your bed, one in your handbag and one somewhere you’ll actually remember to use it.

9. Bring the warmth home
My autumn edit doesn’t stop at skincare.
Warm aromatics are an important part of how I experience this season, and I love bringing that same sense of comfort into my home.
In the evening, I’ll light the SBC Night Rituals Candle and often spritz Lavender & Vetiver Calming Mist around the room. Lavender has always made me think of winding down, while vetiver adds a deeper, earthy note that feels especially beautiful as the evenings draw in.
And that’s really what autumn skincare is about for me.
It’s the texture of a body butter, the feel of a nourishing serum, the warmth of a bath and the aroma that fills the room.
Those little sensory details transform everyday skincare into something more meaningful, a chance to slow down, take care of yourself and enjoy the season.
